Klein used several different gear manufacturers on their bikes; you could use others, too. One of the manufacturers that made compatible parts in the mid-1990s was Precision Billet from Santee, San Diego, California.Their parts became popular with many mountain bikers, and some even found their way onto Klein rider’s bikes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were renowned for their looks, but they were costly. The one in the picture is a Precision Billet, early version Proshift Rear Derailleur in Black<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Another manufacturer that used to produce beautiful-looking C.N.C. Deralliuers was Paul Components in Chico, California. The first Powerglide version had the name Paul engraved on the face plate like in the picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were serviceable, and you could replace almost every piece down to the bushings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although expensive and exquisite in appearance, they sadly couldn’t compete with the quality of Shimanos M950 RD.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
