Without the tool, the job would have been more difficult and could have damaged the B.B. shell and surrounding surfaces. And the installation and removal of the headset bearing and fork were made so much easier if you were fortunate enough to own one.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The Klein headset installation tool included the following parts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cage Assembly<br>The cage assembly consists of a lower ring, in which either end of the head tube seats, connected to the top brace by side rails.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threaded Rod<br>This is a 26 inch piece of 5\/8-11 threaded rod. It has holes drilled in one end so that a nut can be locked into place by a 3\/16 inch hitch<br>pin. The other end has a fi xed nut for applying torque.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fork Pusher<br>This is a 1\/2 inch thick disk with a step in it. It seals on top of the fork and is used to push the fork from the bicycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bearing Puller<br>This is a 1\/4 inch thick u-shaped piece of steel. It sits in the bottom of the cage assembly and is used to remove a bearing from the fork.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bearing Remover<br>This part consists of two halves of a hat-shaped piece of steel. It is used to remove bearings from the headset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bearing Pusher<br>This is a 2 inch hollow cylindrical piece of steel which is used to press the bearings into the head tube and pull the fork into place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fork Cone<br>This is a cone-shaped piece of steel about 1.5 inches long. It seals inside the bottom of the steerer and is used to pull the fork into<br>the frame.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two 5\/8-11 Nuts<br>One nut has a 3\/16 hole so that it can be locked into place with a hitch pin to secure the tool being used on the threaded rod.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Copyright \u00a9 2023-2024 Retro Klein Inc.
